Axel Capriles
Chairman of the board and CEO
Axel is the CEO and Managing Partner of Gran Roque Capital (GRC). GRC is a real estate investment management company focused on residential development in Madrid, Spain. With 7 years in the real estate and tourism sector in Spain and 29 years in Latin America, Axel has served as President of CENTURY 21 Fininca in Venezuela, being a certified Real Estate Agent. He holds a PhD in Economics and was a professor of Behavioral Economics at UCAB Caracas.
Edric Capriles
Vice-Chairman of the Board
Edric is the Chief Financial Officer of Gran Roque Capital and Managing Partner at Orinoquia Real Estate. At GRC, Edric has managed over €250 million in direct investments and mergers and acquisitions in the Spanish and Portuguese real estate markets over the past 5 years. As CFO, he has raised over €70 million in senior mortgages and structured debt. Edric holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Caracas, Venezuela, and a degree in Real Estate Business Administration from IE Business School.
Juan Guitart
Board Member
Juan has served as a director for companies such as Grupo Santander, CLEA, Grupo Caja Postal, Agromán, and Banco Hispano-Americano. He was the General Manager of Santander Global Property. Juan is a lawyer with a Master’s degree in Community Law and Urban Planning. He has also completed executive development programs related to real estate management at IESE Business School and strategic banking finance at Wharton University. With over 30 years of experience, Juan brings extensive knowledge in real estate and an excellent network of contacts in the market.
Daniel Przedborski
Board Member
Daniel Przedborski is a member of the Board of Directors of Orinoquia RE. Daniel has extensive experience as a legal advisor for major companies in Switzerland such as Kellerhals-Carrard and Python & Peter. Daniel holds a dual degree in law and economic law from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. Additionally, Daniel is a member of the Geneva Bar Association (ODA).
Leoporldo Mendoza
Board Member
Leopoldo Mendoza is a partner and financial manager at Sinergia24 Real Estate Management, a company specializing in the management of residential real estate projects. Leopoldo was responsible for the investment department at Welz Platform, a company dedicated to the alternative financing of real estate projects. Leopoldo is a Civil Engineer from the Metropolitan University of Caracas and holds a degree in Business Administration from IE Business School.
Eduardo Sans
Secretary – No Board Member
Eduardo is a commercial lawyer, with more than 20 years of experience advising multiple companies in the real estate sector as well as in other sectors. He is a founding partner of Bossar Abogados, graduated from the University of Deusto (Bilbao) and has a Master’s Degree in Legal Consultancy at the Instituto de Empresa.

MIGUEL SALAS
Head of Investements
Miguel head of the Investments department at Orinoquia and has over six years’ experience in the real estate and construction sector.
He has worked at Deloitte Spain with institutional investors and holds a degree in architecture from the USB in Caracas. He has a master’s degree in Real Estate Management (UPM) and is an adjunct professor at IE Business School.
PAULA SERRANO
Investment Analyst
Paula is an Investment Analyst at Orinoquia. Paula holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Pontifical University of Comillas ICADE in Madrid, and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate from the University of Navarra. Her previous experience in the finance department at Gaviota Simbac has allowed her to acquire knowledge about the financial operations of international companies.
Ricardo ball
Investment Analyst
Ricardo is an Investment Analyst at Orinoquia, with over six years of experience in financial analysis and private financing structuring for real estate projects. He has worked at Christie’s and Douglas Elliman, managing high-value investments and projects worth over $500 million. He holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate from NYU and a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from Trinity College.
ALEJANDRO GALÁN
Asset Manager
Alejandro is responsible for managing operational assets in Orinoquia. His duties include ensuring compliance with business plans and the proper reporting system. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Management and Planning. He has previous experience at Savills as a Property Manager and in the financial department of real estate projects at Zanda REIM.
Andres Barrón
Project Manager
Andrés holds a degree in Architecture from the Madrid School of Architecture and a Master’s degree in Integrated Project Management. After more than 10 years of experience in drafting building projects in an architecture studio, he has spent the last 7 years as technical manager in real estate investment fund management companies.
Elena Fernández
Administration and Financial Control
Elena is the head of administration and financial control. With extensive experience in the sector, Elena is responsible for supervising and controlling the company’s accounting processes and operations, as well as preparing and consolidating financial statements.
Rebecca Melara
Sales & Marketing Manager
Rebecca is a Commercial Coordinator at Orinoquia, with over 4 years of experience in the luxury real estate sector in Madrid. She holds a double degree in Marketing and International Business, with an MBA, and previously founded a profitable cosmetics company. Since 2021, she has specialized in luxury residential properties, property management, and new construction.
Melissa Ibañez
Team Assistant
Melissa is an Administrative Assistant at Orinoquia. With a degree in International Relations, she brings experience in diplomacy, digital marketing, and commercial real estate, with skills in communication, event management, and CRM tools.
